Namun karena keterbatasan space yang diberikan dan jumlah add on domain maupun add on sub domain, maka tidak memungkinkan untuk menginstall seluruh script tersebut. Belajar mempelajari script Fantastico Installer adalah hal yang sangat menyenangkan, kita akan tahu bagaimana kelak  web dan blog kita nantinya setelah memilih salah satu script yang ditawarkan. Disini saya tidak akan membahas tentang dalaman script tersebut, namun yang akan saya bahas adalah memanfaatkan hosting gratis untuk mempelajari tipe-tipe fantastico installer selain wp, oscommerce, joomla, dll.

“Tak kenal maka tak sayang” setelah mengenal bagaimana tampilan web blog kita untuk masing-masing keperluan maka mungkin semua tipe fantastico installer ini sangat diperlukan. Jika suatu saat hendak membuka toko online, maka tidak perlu repot-repot untuk membuat desain web sendiri, serahkan saja pada oscommerce. Saya tidak menggunakan nama domain name, namun saya lebih menyarankan dengan menggunakan sub domain name. Sehingga tidak menggangu domain yang ada, cukup menambahkan huruf atau angka : 1.weblog.co.cc atau a.weblog.co.cc. Bisa juga disesuaikan dengan script yang di install seperti wp.weblog.co.cc untuk wordpress atau joomla.weblog.co.cc untuk joomla, dan seterusnya.

Pembahasan ini mungkin tidak begitu perlu, namun untuk pemula mungkin sedikit kesulitan apabila dalam menu admin web blog wordpress  tidak disediakan fasilitas installasi plugin baru. Karena hosting awalnya berada di freehostia, maka akan saya lanjutkan dengan memasuki halaman member panel (Freehostia Control Panel). Namun pada prinsip nya sama saja untuk web hosting lainya juga.

Jadi pada pembasan terakhir ini, adalah memasukan plugin OneClick Installer melalui member control panel freehostia. Pembahasan akan saya buat sesederhana mungkin mudah-mudahan bisa dimengerti, karena memang sedikit sekali tahapannya. Seberapa penting tentang oneclick ini akan ditemui pada penjelasan dibawah ini.

Mari kita mulai:
- Masuk ke Freehostia Control Panel http://cp.freehostia/members/ silahkan isi username dan password yang telah diberikan.

- Sekarang kita memasuki halaman member freehostia control panel. Jika memiliki beberapa nama domain, pastikan nama domain mana yang akan ditambahkan plugin OneClick, lihat gambar yang dilingkari.

- Lihat menu “Site Management” dan langsung menuju halaman “File Manager” silahkan klik.

- Setelah masuk halaman “File Manager” terdapat beberapa macam pilihan untuk membuat direktori, dll. Biarkan semuanya karena fokus kita untuk menambahkan plugin OneClick Installer. Lihat direktory dari domain yang telah dipilih sebelumnya dan Klik direktori tersebut.

- Kemudian akan muncul beberapa pilihan direktori dan file, langsung saja menuju direktori “wp-content” dan klik.

- Selanjutnya muncul lagi dua direktori “plugins” dan “themes”. Karena yang akan kita masukan adalah plugin maka pilihlah direktori plugin. Jika memiliki themes sebetulnya proses ini bisa juga untuk menambahkan themes di dalam direktori themes. Mungkin setelah menambahkan plugin, bisa saja langsung menambahkan themes dengan cara yang sama seperti menambahkan plugin.

- Setelah klik direktori plugin, maka didalam plugin standar WP hanya terdapat satu direktori akismet, ini merupakan plugin untuk memblokir pesan sapam yang masuk. Serta file hello.php dan index php.

- Karena freehostia tidak menyediakan uncompress zip file untuk upload, maka perlu dibuatkan dulu sebuah direktori “oneclick”. Silahkan buat melalui “Create New File/Folder” .

- Direktori/folder oneclick telah berhasil dibuat, selanjutnya silahkan klik untuk melihat isi direktori tersebut yang masih kosong.

- Seperti disebutkan sebelumnya freehostia tidak memberikan fasilitas upload berupa zip file, sehingga apabila file yang akan di upload banyak maka memerlukan waktu dan perlu membuat direktori satu persatu apabila file terpisah-pisah. Apalagi untuk upload themes dengan jumlah file yang banyak, sehingga tidak efektif. Makanya disini saya lebih menekankan untuk upload plugin oneclick dengan jumlah file yang sedikit sekitar 6 file. Sedangkan untuk upload themes bisa menggunakan fasilitas plugin ini melalui menu admin weblog yang telah terinstall, yang dapat melakukan upload melalui zip file sebagaimana dijelaskan pada bagian pertama. Silahkan upload satu persatu file oneclik installer tersebut melalui “Upload File”. 

- Apabila proses berhasil, maka ke 6 file oneclick telah berada di dalam direktori oneclick seperti gambar dibawah ini. Secara keseluruhan proses ini telah selesai dan plugin ini bisa diaktifkan di menu wp admin melalui halaman plugin untuk di aktifkan.

Dari semua proses tersebut diatas setidaknya memang sedikit ribet untuk pemula, namun hal diatas harus dilakukan apabila installasi plugin di menu wp admin tidak tersedia. Sampai disini mudah-mudahan masih bisa dimengerti.

Sebenarnya ada proses yang lebih cepat melalui fasilitas software ftp, proses ini tidak terlalu sulit karena hampir sama dengan melakukan copy-paste dari hardisk ke flashdisk atau sebaliknya. Beberapa software yang sering saya gunakan untuk upload file dari komputer ke server adalah semisal: WS_FTP, Cute-FTP, Deluxe FTP, FTP Now, dan masih banyak software FTP lainnya. Berikut contoh tampilan dari WS_FTP yang selalu saya gunakan. Tentang software ftp ini bisa dicari melalui mbah Google, dan tentunya carilah yang free atau gratisan.

Untuk alamat ftp bisa disesuaikan dengan nama host masing-masing, sedangkan untuk freehostia berdasarkan nama domain yang telah dibuat sebelumnya. Misalnya nama domain nya: www.weblog.co.cc, maka nama host ftp nya adalah: ftp.weblog.co.cc, username dan password sesuai dengan login ke member control panel freehostia.

Sampai disini pembahasan untuk membuat weblog melalui domain dan hosting gratis, semoga tidak membosankan dan mudah-mudahan dapat bermanfaat.

Sebagai jawaban atas pertanyaan tentang Freehostia, bahwa tidak ada banner atau ads di web blog kita nantinya, 100% free ads. Kita kembali ke masalah themes. Masing-masing web hosting menyediakan fasilitas yang berbeda, kadang telah menyediakan beberapa themes. Namun tentunya kita tidak selalu menyukai semua themes yang diberikan. Termasuk fasilitas plugin yang hanya sedikit, ada beberapa cara untuk install free wp theme maupun plugin. Sekarang akan kita coba mengulas dengan cara sederhana untuk installasi theme melalui fasilitas plugin One Click Installer. Berikut cara sedrhana  untuk menambahkan Free WP Themes tersebut:

Untuk perubahan themes ini memerlukan Plugin One Click Installer berupa ZIP File yang harus di download terlebih dahulu, silahkan ambil filenya: KLIK DISINI. Atau bisa download menuju penyedianyanya langsung KLIK DISINI.

Setelah selesai download masuk ke menu admin, contoh: “http://www.webblog.co.cc/wp-admin/”

1. Cara Pertama
- Lihat menu “Dashboard” yang belum terinstall One Click, nantinya akan bertambah dengan “One Click Install” setelah plugin dimasukkan. Sekarang menuju menu “Plugin” kemudian klik “Add New”.

- Selanjutnya akan tampil menu “Install Plugins”, dan lihat tulisan “Install a Plugin in .Zip Format” tidak semua web hosting menyedikan fasilitas ini. Maka perlu cara lain untuk installasi plugin yang mudah-mudahan saya bahas kemudian untuk cara tersebut. Kembali ke tulisan “Install a Plugin in .Zip Format” klik browse dimana kita menyimpan file one click yang telah kita download, seteleh selesai tekan “Install Now”

- Kemudian muncul informasi bahwa plugin telah berhasil di install, lakukan aktivasi plugin dengan klik “Activate Plugin”.

- Kemudian terdapat pemberitahuan bahwa plugin telah di aktivasi, dan lihat menu “Dashboard” terdapat penambahan menu yang aktif yaitu “One Click Install”. Silahkan klik menu “One Click Install”.

- Setelah itu muncul form untuk installasi, pilih “Install from local zip File” klik “Browse” dan cari file theme yang telah kita download. Jika telah ditemukan, selanjutnya klik “Go”, tunggu beberapa saat hingga proses instalasi theme berhasil.

- Sebuah pesan akan terlihat jika proses berhasil : “All done. You can….”, dengan demikian themes telah berhasil di simpan di file manager webhosting.

- Langkah selanjutnya untuk melihat apakah themes telah tersimpan dengan benar,  langsung menujut menu “Appearance” dan klik menu “Themes”.

- Kini, beberapa themes yang telah kita install muncul di bagian “Available Themes” yang disertai tampilan kecil berupa screenshot seperti gambar dibawah ini. Untuk mulai meng-aktifkan dan merubah themes yang lama ke themes yang baru maka klik ditengah-tengah salah satu gambar tersebut.

- Proses loading data sedang berlangung tunggu beberapa saat….

- Setelah proses loading data berhasil, themes yang baru kita klik akan muncul dalam kotak. Ada dua pilihan berupa kali (x) untuk membatalkan aktivasi themes dan “Active – nama themes” untuk mulai menggunakan themes yang telah tadi dipilih.

- Langkah terakhir, melihat tampilan themes yang telah kita pilih, menuju kiri atas dan klik “Visit site”.

- Dan akhirnya…. tampilan web blog idaman pun dengan themes yang baru  telah berhasil di tampilkan.

Bagaimana mudah bukan, untuk themes gratisan bisa dicari melalui mbah Google dengan kata kunci cari “Free WP Themes“, “Download Free WP Themes” atau kata kunci cari lainnya, yang pasti cari yang gratisan tentunya karena themes yang diberikan tidak kalah menarik dengan themes yang berbayar, cukup bagus untuk digunakan.

Sebenarnya masih ada cara lain menuju roma untuk menambahkan plugin dan wp themes. Berhubung sudah ngantuk, cara lainnya akan saya bahas kemudian. Seperti biasa pembahasan ini sebagai PR buat sahabat-sahabat saya untuk menambahkan dan mempercantik web blog nya. Banyaknya kasus yang terjadi pada layanan Free Web Hosting FreeHostia akhir-akhir ini, menyebabkan tidak maksimalnya kinerja web/blog kita. Salah satu Free Web Hosting lain yang saya sarankan adalah “000webhost”, pada prinsipnya cara pendaftaran Free Web Hosting langkah-langkahnya sama saja seperti dibawah ini yaitu memilih “Free Hosting” pada saat pendaftaran. Apa sih domain dan webhosting itu?. Saya tidak akan menjelaskan panjang lebar. Penjelasan lebih lanjut bisa dibaca di halaman tante Wiki: Domain Name, Web Hosting, Domain Name Server (DNS).

Penjelasannya cukup panjang, makanya sambil klik PTC sediakan juga cemilan dan teh manis atau kopi hangat. Mari kita mulai, duduk yang manis dan santai saja. Tahap pertama kita akan daftarkan domain name di www.co.cc untuk domain gratis, tahap kedua mengambil web hosting di www.freehostia.com, sebetulnya masih banyak penyedia lain, namun saya ambil contoh mudah saja. Sebab kapasitas yang mereka berikan sudah cukup bagus untuk membangun personal web blog. Selanjutnya bisa dikembangkan sendiri. Antara tahap pertama dan kedua bisa saja dibalik, daftar webhosting dulu atau domain name dulu. Namun agar tampak lebih mudah untuk daftar di webhosting, setidaknya kita telah memiliki nama domain.

I. Tahap 1 Daftar Domain Name

-  Masuk ke website www.co.cc dan cek ketersediaan domain name, masukan nama domain name, contoh: “webblog”, nantinya menjadi “http://www.webblog.co.cc”  :

- Apabila domain name belum dimiliki orang lain, maka status “is available”.

- Perlu diingat, lihat harga yang diberikan apabila  tertera $0, maka kita bisa daftar dengan klik “Continue to Registration”. Namun apabila harga muncul seperti gambar dibawah ini, maka harus mencari nama lain sampai dengan harga $0 (kan kita nyari yang gratis bukan! )

- Setelah “Continue to Registration” akan muncul halaman Sign In, anggap saja kita belum memiliki akun di www.co.cc, maka lakukan registrasi dengan klik “Create an Account Now”.

-  Selanjutnya akan dibawa pada form regsitrasi, silahkan isi semua data yang diminta, dan klik “Create an Account Now”.

- Tahap selanjutnya, domain telah berhasil kita registrasi, namun memerlukan waktu selama 48 jam. Tapi jangan khawatir kadang dalam waktu 30 s/d 1 jam apabila koneksi bagus web kita sudah dapat dilihat, hanya saja tampilan masih sederhana. Umumnya aktivasi bisa menacapai 24 jam. Selanjutnya klik “Setup” untuk mengubah Domain Name Service (DNS).

- Karena tujuan kita hanya mendaftar Domain gratis saja, maka perlu merubah Domain Name Service (DNS) ke web hosting tempat dimana file-file website kita berada. Webhosting yang kita maksud adalah www.freehostia.com. Kemudian muncul kembali halaman berikut ini, ada dua pilihan, pertama dengan co.cc dan kedua dengan cc.cc. Karena kita akan menggunakan co.cc, maka pilih co.cc kemudian klik “Set up”.

- Ada 3 pilihan untuk setup: Name Server, Zone Records dan URL Forwading. Untuk bagian kedua dan ketiga akan saya bahasa kemudian. Sekarang pilihlah “Name Server” dan masukan Name Server 1 : dns1.freehostia.com, Name Server 2 : dns2.freehostia.com, kemudian klik “Set Up”.

-  Kemudian jika proses berhasil, maka akan muncul tampilan berikut ini dan klik “Ok” untuk melihat status DNS.

- Tahap ini telah berhasil namun perlu waktu 48 jam untuk dapat aktif, namun kadang bisa saja hanya butuh waktu beberapa jam. Jika masih ingin memasukan domain name lagi, co.cc masih menyediana tiga domain yang tersedia.

- Sambil menunggu proses perubahan DNS di web hosting, mungkin sudah tidak sabar, seperti apa tampilan web blog kita. bisa dicoba dengan mengetikan alamat web blog yang kita buat tadi, contoh: “http://www.webblog.co.cc” halaman tersebut sudah bisa di akses, namun masih sederhana dan terdapat informasi: “Name server changes may take up to 48 hours to update throughout the Internet”.

Tahap I selesai, bagaimana teh manis dan kopi hangatnya sudah habis? silahkan bikin lagi, sekarang lanjutkan ke tahap kedua.

II. Tahap 2 Daftar ke Web Hosting

- masuk ke http://www.freehostia.com dan temukan banner dengan kalimat “Chocolate” dari namanya saja pasti enak untuk dimakan. Klik “Free” kemudian klik “Take a Bitt – Free”.

- Selanjutnya menuju halaman “Setup Your Plane” tahap ini yang harus benar-benar diperhatikan. Lihat semuanya harga $0.00 USD, pada “Pree-Installed Script” pilihan dapat terserah anda, bisa “none” artinya kita tidak akan menggunakannya yang akan di masukan kemudian. Jika script ingin langung terinstall, maka pilihlah “Blog” yang kemudian scroll menuju “WordPress”. Banyak pilihan lain, semuanya saya serahkan sesuai dengan kebutuhan. Pada “Add a Domain to Host” karena kita sudah memiliki domain name di tahap I tadi yaitu: “webblog.co.cc” maka masukan di kotak tersebut tanpa menggunakan “www”. Lihat juga DNS yang telah kita ubah sebelumnya di co.cc: dns1.freehostia.com dan dns2.freehostia.com.

- Beberapa contoh “Pree Installed Script” :

- Untuk bagian “Account Owner Details”  tidak perlu saya jelaskan, isi saja sesuai dengan yang diminta. Periksa kembali semua data apa sudah benar termasuk “Setup Your Plane”, jika sudah kemudian klik “Continue”.

- Kemudian penempatan web hosting segera di proses, tunggu beberapa saat hingga muncul informasi akun “Thank You!”.

- Sampai disini proses telah berhasil, selanjutnya kita bisa menuju “Login to Control Panel”.

- Silahkan untuk login ke Control Panel, namun sebelumnya periksa terlebih dahulu email verifikasi dari freehostia karena username dan password mereka berikan melalui email.

- Periksa email yang tadi didaftarkan, memuat dua pemberitahuan:  (1)  Informasi Login ke Control Panel frehostia; (2) Informasi Login ke Web Blog yang telah mereka buatkan sesuai “Pre-Installed Script”. Kebetulan yang saya buat ini script “OS Commerce”, jika yang dipilih WordPress maka informasinya “Blog WordPress has been successfully Installed“.

- Pada akhirnya…. JRENG…!! web blog idaman pun berhasil dibuat!

Tampilan diatas masih sangat sederhana, ini merupakan web blog standar yang diberikan wordpress pada umumnya. Untuk mengganti WordPress Themes bisa dicari melalui mbah Google, yang gratisan juga tentunya. Selanjutnya kita masuk ke menu Admin menu untuk melakukan berbagai perubahan termasuk posting artikel dengan menggunakan alamat url standar di /wp-admin/ atau /wp-login.php. Contoh: “http://www.webblog.co.cc/wp-admin/” atau “http://www.webblog.co.cc/wp-login.php”.

Sampai disini semua proses telah selesai, kita tinggal posting sebanyak-banyaknya. Sekarang timbul masalah lainnya mungkin bagaimana caranya meningkatkan traffic pengunjung ke web blog yang telah kita buat.  Sering-sering mampir ke web blog tetangga dengan berkomentar sekalian promosi link url kita. Atau cara sederhana bisa dibaca disini. Sedangkan untuk dapat terindex oleh search engine bisa lihat di postingan ini: add to MSN, add to Google dan add to Yahoo, atau add ke berbagai penyedia Search Engine. Apabila masih bingung mau dijadikan apa blog kita kelak bisa mampir untuk melihat 99 ide membuat web dan blog.

Semua proses diatas bisa juga digunakan untuk domain yang berbayar, misal “.com”, “.net”,  “.info”, “web.id”, “co.id”, dll. Misalnya hanya membeli domain name saja tanpa membeli web hosting,  sehingga harga bisa sedikit murah. Banyak penyedia hosting yang menyediakan secara gratis, tidak lengkap rasanya jika tidak saya sertakan juga. Namun berhubung posting ini terlalu panjang juga khawatir kehabisan bahan artikel,  mudah-mudahan bisa saya muat di artikel berikutnya. Selamat berkarya!
